    Home Service was founded in 1992 by a group of parents, who were themselves involved in Christian home education in the UK, to provide help and advice for those who were treading the same road or thinking of doing so.

    Since then the number of families educating their children at home in the UK has grown considerably including many Christians who want their children to be brought up in "the nurture and admonition of the Lord". Many others are considering such a move but are uncertain as to its legality and practicality.

  • Primary Schools Criticised

    Two reports today severely criticise the government’s primary school strategy. Cambridge-based Primary Review have today described English primary school children as amongst the most tested in the western world. It described the English system as being ‘pre-occupied with national standards and accountability. An NFER report challenges the notion that children should start school at the age of four, suggesting that this leads to stressed young children.
